  • Autumn Park Clubhouse is located at 7628 Autumn Park 78249, in the Parkwood Subdivision.  Maps are available at the Welcome Table.
  • We will continue signing up volunteers for the conference after service in the back of the ballroom.  Please complete a volunteer application and turn it in to Pam Dominguez.
  • Contribution Receipts are ready to be picked up.  Please see Trudy Mencke in the back of the ballroom after service.
  •  Our lost and found collection has grown tremendously.  If you have left or misplaced any items at Norris, please contact Kent Washington at (210) 528-8266.  All books that are stored in the lost and found bin will soon be donated to the book table.  All other personal items will be donated elsewhere.

 

Prayer Requests

Please pray for Juan Cantu’s dad, Juan Cantu Sr. He had open heart surgery on Wednesday and it was successful.  He is in a lot of pain but was up walking.  Please pray for a quick and complete recovery as he goes through therapy.

Please keep Christine Brocker’s dad, Jerry Eames, in your prayers.  He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and has begun four months of Chemo treatments.

Please continue to pray for Jency’s health and for encouragement for Archer Taliaferro and the entire family.

  • Please continue pray for Jay Ortiz’s sons, Javier and Miguel. Their aunt passed away.
  • Pam Dominguez’ uncle Jumbo Ponce dé Leon.  He has lung cancer and is undergoing chemo.

  • Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University classes will be starting the first week of February.  Jerry Condra and Ryan Hoke will be in the back of the auditorium after church to sign up people interested in attending a class. This will help determine class times, dates and locations. Even, if you are unsure about attending, please stop by and let them know.
  • Carlos Villatoro is offering to pick up any old metals, (aluminum, iron, etc.) or appliances of all kind that people want to get rid of (i.e. lawnmowers, barbeque grills, stoves, etc). He will remove them from your property, recycle them and use the monies to serve the poor as a bible talk.  If you have any questions or would like to schedule a pickup, please call or email him at 210-387-1690 or carlos-vicki@sbcglobal.net.

  • This weekend is somewhat historic in Texas as Marty and Daonna traveled to College Station to meet with the mission team, evangelize, and have their first church service!  The church will be planted in July, but this is their first retreat & church service in College Station.  Amen!  The first of 10 new plantings in Texas is taking its first baby steps!  Please be praying!!
  • For all who are interested in folkloric dancing, please see Victor Reyes after service.  There will be a meeting at Kevin Surrett’s house at 2:00pm today for those interested in performing.

  • There will be a training class for the A rotation teachers in the Pecan Room today.
  •  Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University classes will be starting the first week of February.  Jerry Condra and Ryan Hoke will be in the back of the auditorium after church to sign up people interested in attending a class. This will help determine class times, dates and locations. Even, if you are unsure about attending, please stop by and let them know.
  • Carlos Villatoro is offering to pick up any old metals, (aluminum, iron, etc.) or appliances of all kind that people want to get rid of (i.e. lawnmowers, barbeque grills, stoves, etc). He will remove them from your property, recycle them and use the monies to serve the poor as a bible talk.  If you have any questions or would like to schedule a pickup, please call or email him at 210-387-1690 or carlos-vicki@sbcglobal.net.
  •  Congratulation to Rev and Carah.  Their new daughter, Abigail Victoria Maryan Revill was born on Wednesday, weighing 8lbs 7oz and 20 inches long.
  •  We will begin signing up volunteers for the conference after service in the back of the ballroom.  Please complete a volunteer application and turn it in to Pam Dominguez.

 Prayer Requests

Please pray for Jay Ortiz’s sons,  Javier and Miguel,  aunt, Demeshia Watson.  She was critically injured in a car accident on Friday morning.  She is at University Hospital and they are unsure if she will survive.  Please pray that God will comfort and guide the family during this time.

Please continue to pray for Pam Dominguez’ uncle Jumbo Ponce dé Leon.  He has lung cancer and just started chemo.

  • Neal Fabilenia would like to meet with all of the “new” rotation A teachers today after service in the back of the ballroom.
  •  On Sunday, January 22nd, there will be a training class for the “new” A rotation teachers immediately following communion.  It will be held in the Pecan Room.

  •  MLK Day of Service–Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 9:00am

On Saturday, January 14th, HOPE worldwide–San Antonio will celebrate our annual Martin Luther King Day of Service by canvassing about fire prevention and safety, in partnership with the American Red Cross. The event will start at 9:00am with a
kick-off rally at the San Antonio headquarters of the American Red Cross at 3642E Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78219. Coffee and pastry will be served. We will finish with a celebration lunch and party for the volunteers back at the Red Cross headquarters at 1:00pm. THANK YOU, in advance, for your heart to serve! We will have sign-ups at church services in the coming weeks. If you
have any questions please see Kevin Surrett (210-639-1903).

  • Kids’ Program Calendar:  There will be no children’s classes until January 8, 2010.  On that day, the campus ministry will oversee the classes.  The regularly scheduled classes will resume on January 15, 2012 with Rotation A and December Assistants.

Reminder:  Today, we will host our ninth annual Carols by Candlelight service at the Arneson River Theater, located downtown on the Riverwalk in La Villita.  There will be NO service at Norris.  The address is 418 La Villita Street 78205.  At 5:30pm, we will have our communion service and take up our regular contribution.  Afterwards, we will begin the carols. Please bring candles and a container to hold the candle in.  If the weather is cool, please dress appropriately because the Arneson is an outdoor theater.  You can also bring blankets.

Our service scheduled for Christmas Day has been CHANGED to Saturday, December 24th at Norris.  Service time is 5:30pm. Please note the change on your calendar. There will be NO service on Sunday.

MLK Day of Service–Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 9:00amOn Saturday, January 14th, HOPE worldwide–San Antonio will celebrate our annual Martin Luther King Day of Service by canvassing about fire prevention and safety, in partnership with the American Red Cross. The event will start at 9:00am with a kick-off rally at the San Antonio headquarters of the American Red Cross at 3642 E Houston Street, San Antonio, TX 78219. Coffee and pastry will be served. We will finish with a celebration lunch and party for the volunteers back at the Red Cross headquarters at 1:00pm. THANK YOU, in advance, for your heart to serve!  Please pray for Pam Dominguez’ family in the Philippines.  The unexpected typhoon that hit the Philippines Friday night hit her island and destroyed many homes.  Pray also for the disciples who have been affected by the storm, especially those who just moved there for the mission team.  So far,  650 people were killed as the authorities continue to search for many others who are missing.

  •  American Red Cross – Disaster Relief Program Training – As the local chapter of HOPE worldwide and a partner with the American Red Cross, we are asking all who wish to volunteer for the Disaster Relief Program to attend the training.   This training along with a background check and photo ID cards are required to participate as a volunteer. The training
    date, time and location will be announced when finalized.  On the day of the training, pictures will be taken for the ID cards.
  • Olivia  Pope is in need of childcare for her 2 yr old son and 3 yr old daughter for a couple of months until they

  • Laura Escobar had arthroscopic shoulder surgery on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Please pray she will recover
    quickly and easily.  This surgery will prevent Laura from returning to work immediately. She will be unable to do many

  •  Sunday, November 20, 2011, churches around the world will be uniting for the International Day of Giving. On that date we will be taking up a collection to support the global programs of HOPE worldwide. Some examples include:
    • HOPE worldwide has built 50 hospitals and clinics and 6 schools in Afghanistan, as well as distributing millions of dollars in supplies to the poor.
    •  Village of HOPE in Delhi, India serves an entire village of 4000 people affected by leprosy.
    • Food, shelter, counseling and medical services for Haitian earthquake relief.

Please search your hearts and wallets and speak with your family, friends and companies. Engage other people
outside of the Mission Point family—you can do things like door-knocking, yard
sales, or setting up a table at flea markets to let people know about this
great opportunity to make a difference. Resources, such as fliers, tracking
sheets, videos, etc. are available at www.hopeww.org/dayofgiving.

  •  Hosts for Thanksgiving -The Simkovsky’s now own their first home and would like to host Thanksgiving Dinner for those (campus and singles) that have nowhere to go and would like a nice meal and fellowship. After a

  • There will be a Middle School Devotional next Saturday, November 19th, at the Eddy’s home from 6:00pm –
