At Mission Point we believe that God has given each of us a role to fulfill his purpose and help others to find him. Nowhere is this more obvious than in women ministering to other women. Women all over the world need and desire spiritual support, and no one can offer that support better than other women. There will always be a need for greater faith and in-depth teaching by women to meet the needs of our sisters and to reach the billions of women around the world who desperately need to know Jesus. Now, more than ever there is a great need for effectiveness and for more women to rise to the challenge of making a lasting and profound impact in our homes and in the world. We want women to know and embrace the special role God has given them in the church – to help women grow and mature and to share the “good news” with those that do not have a relationship with God.
These are just a few of the ways that we work to accomplish these goals:
- We have Bible studies every other Wednesday evening for the married women and mothers in our church. It is a time where we can receive and give the support so needed in our busy lives.
- Once a year we host a “Women’s Day”. This is a time to celebrate in a very special way being women in the church. We reach out to the community – our friends, co-workers and family – inviting them to be part of this event.
- Within the church women are being trained full-time in the ministry.
- There are women leadership groups where the women are taught and trained on a regular basis.
- Mentoring relationships
Our prayer is that through this ministry, more and more women will be empowered to “become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life.” (Philippians 2:15-16)
